Blindness Labeling Poses Danger to Consumers
2008-12-01
Blindness labeling in U.S.A led to possible health threat to consumers. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration(FDA)claimed the call-back of 120 cans of Kroger-brand chicken noodle soup due to tagging mistakes.
Among the products, fives samples were found to probably contain cream of celery soup rather than the expected chicken noodle soup which was indicated on the labeling, evidently posing a tremendous risk to people who are allergic to milk.
The recalled soup was distributed by Bay Valley Foods of Green Bay, Wis., to Dillon stores in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Consumers, if needed, can return the product for a refund or contact Bay Valley Foods at 800-983-0823 for more related information for the sake of consumption security.
